Network feature setting Call forwarding (page 29), Call waiting (page 32) and Send own number (page 62) are network services available through your service provider or dealer. When you subscribe to any of these services, your service provider or dealer gives you a separate feature code to activate each service. Once you store the appropriate code in your phone, the service appears as a menu item. Each time you use a feature that requires a feature code, that code is sent to the network to verify you're using the correct feature code.
Note: If your phone has more than one phone number programmed, any feature codes stored will apply only to your primary phone number, or NAM 1. See "NAM selection" on page 48 for details on NAM.

One-touch dialing This feature allows you to make phone calls quickly and easily with the touch of a button. You must store names and numbers in your phone book (see page 52) before you can use this feature. Then you can assign a name from the phone book to a one-touch dial location using your phone's keys 2 through 8.
Note: Keys 1 and 9 are used exclusively for dialing your voice mailbox (see page 70) and for attempting emergency calls (see page 81) to the emergency number programmed into your phone (e. g. 911 or other official emergency number).
