Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.
[. . . ] To generate the high-pressure steam that does the work with a soleplate at this optimal temperature, we developed a unique cyclonic chamber. The steam generated penetrates deep into the fabric for fast ironing with no risk of water leaking. There are no complicated dials and you do not have to wait for the iron to warm up and cool down. If you want to know how the cyclonic steam chamber works, please visit our website at www. [. . . ] Fill the water tank before first use and as soon as the `water tank empty' light flashes. Note: If the tap water in your area is very hard, we advise you to mix it with an equal amount of distilled water. Note: If the water tank is not properly placed, the iron does not produce any steam. Water tank refill light When the water tank is almost empty, the `water tank empty' light goes on and steam ironing is no longer possible. Using the appliance optimal Temp technology Do not iron non-ironable fabrics. This steam generator is supplied with Optimal Temp technology, which enables you to iron all types of ironable fabrics without adjusting the iron temperature or steam setting. 1 Fabrics with these symbols are ironable, for example linen, cotton, polyester, silk, wool, viscose, rayon. 2 Make sure that there is enough water in the water tank (see section `Filling the detachable water tank'). , When the steam generator is ready for use, the `iron ready' light lights up continuously. Note: Some water droplets may come out of the soleplate when you use the steam boost function for the first time. This stops after you have used the steam boost function for some time. 1 Hang the garment on a clothes hanger and pull the garment tight with one hand. 2 Hold the iron in vertical position with the other hand and press the steam trigger to steam the garment. Auto-shut-off function The steam generator automatically switches off when it has not been used for a while (approx. 10 minutes) and the auto-shut-off light in the on/ off button starts to flash. To activate the steam generator again, press any button on the steam generator. Descaling the steam generator with the Easy dE-CalC knob To prevent scale build-up inside the steam generator and to ensure longlasting steaming performance, this steam generator has a DE-CALC light on the control panel. When this light flashes, perform the descaling procedure with the EASY DE-CALC knob by following the steps below. 1 Press the on/off button to switch off the steam generator and remove the plug from the wall socket. Tip:You can also take the steam generator to a sink and place it so that the EASY DE-CALC knob is pointing towards the sink. 4 Hold a cup of at least 350cc under the EASY DE-CALC knob to collectthewaterthatflowsout. 5 Turn the EASY DE-CALC knob anti-clockwise to remove it and let thewaterwithscaleparticlesflowintothecup. [. . . ] The wet spots that appear on your garment after you have steam ironed for some time may be caused by steam that has condensed onto the ironing board. The water spots on your garment are caused by condensation in the supply hose. When the supply hose cools down, the steam that is still present in the hose cools down and condenses into water. After a few seconds, steam instead of water comes out of the soleplate. [. . . ]
