Errors when sending a text message
The following error codes are displayed: Error Code E0 FE FD Description Calling Line Identification permanently withheld (CLIR). Text messages cannot be sent or received if the number of the SMS centre is missing or incorrectly stored. Check that the fixed network number of the SMS centre has been correctly stored.
Errors when receiving a text message
You cannot receive text messages under the following conditions: N The CLIP service (Calling Line Identification Presentation) is not activated for your phone line, N Call diversion is activated with All Calls (page 20), N Call diversion All Calls is activated for the network mailbox , N The memory (incoming and draft message lists) is full. A message appears on the screen if your phone cannot receive any more text messages for this reason.

Error Message
You cannot send messages.
Possible Cause
You have not requested the CLIP service (Calling Line Identification Presentation). The number of the SMS centre selected as the send centre is not entered or is incorrect. Your phone's memory is full.
Remedy
Ask your network provider to activate this service. Enter the correct number.
You receive a message whose text is incomplete. The message is played back.

Using the answering machine in the C 150 Base
The Gigaset C 150 has a built-in answering machine that records calls provided it is activated (default setting). It can be operated: N from the base, N from the handset, N from the remote control. The received date and time of each message is logged if you have previously set this function (page 14). As well as the built-in answering machine, you can also select an answering machine of your network provider (e. g. Deutsche Telekom's network mailbox).

Answering machine remote operation (C 150 only)
The functions of the keys for operating the answering machine remotely are the same for all telephones, handsets and tone transmitters. This "credit card" shows you how to remote operate the answering machine from an external telephone (e. g. from a pay phone, hotel etc. ) and the meaning of the keys.
